Rhône-Alpes Holidays

Rhône-Alpes has lots of little-known treasures to discover. Here is a quick review of the best places to stay in, and what to do.

Places of interest

  • Holidays in Rhône-Alpes means green holidays, surrounded by nice scenery and characterful places. The varied geography allows all kinds of activities from sailing to rock climbing and skiing.
  • Pérouges, medieval town, bathed in light: a visit to Pérouges, charming medieval town in Ain, at barely thirty kilometres from Lyon, is a true occasion for a change of scenery. You can get lost in alleys, along ramparts and take a break, by tasting a "galette" (flat cake) in the inn.

Also to discover

  • Great musical nights of summer: the Lyon Fourvière Nights and the Jazz in Vienne festival compete with talent, with a programme of a rare quality, to enchant the nights of lovers of theatre, music, jazz and spectacles in general. Rendezvous in June and July, on the banks of the Rhône.
  • Flowers of the Alps and wild animals: spending a night in a refuge in the park of Vanoise, the very first National Park created in France, in 1963, and undoubtedly also one of the most precious for its fauna and its exceptional flora, remains an unforgettable experience and a great moment of harmony with nature.
