Near the cathedral and the Château des Ducs de Bretagne, some nice medieval quarters can be seen, for free. This place is working class and bourgeois at the same time. Nantes cultural activity is huge: The Graslin theatre, the Lieu Unique and the Musée des Beaux-Arts, and the mayor gives all his energy to boost this, funding interesting street bands, especiallyin summer.
